On the left is our outer pivot pipe (4" O.D.) about to eat our competitors 2.3" O.D. outer pipe and 1.90" O.D. inner pipe. They talk about all the wonderful gusseting on their units, but you can't gusset the pipe that rotates, which is where all the stress is concentrated. The pipe just has to be big enough to take it. Another advantage of our pipe size is that it is a snug fit, to reduce any slop in this rotating joint.
